Coming to China

When you feel like everything in life isn't going right. Then you can just treat it as God's gift of a LONG VACATION. Stopping all worries and leaving them behind. Leave everything as it is. Then maybe, just maybe... life might turn around just as you won't expect it would. e

--Sena Hidetoshi

When I watched this series, I realized that my personality is not far from Sena... He is a pianist, a good one. But he still doubts his talent so he teaches piano in a kindergarten. He never thought of developing his career and is statisfied with what he is doing. Until one day he meets Minami and sees that she keeps on fighting for herself to survive. That's how he taught her to loosen up and let the water take its course. In the end, Sena realizes that he cares for her and that pushed him to end his Long Vacation. His inspiration brought him a ticket to Boston and things happened as it should have there. ^___^

I was an LJ-user before, but because I can't access LJ in China, I thought it would be better to start a new blog in my new location.

Fangurling has eaten up my youth. Until now, I'm still one. In my LJ, I'm known to be a Jerry Yan, Jay Chou and Takuya Kimura follower. I still do, but because of the new work I just accepted this year, I decided that I should end my LONG VACATION.

How I landed at Xian Tao, Wu Han, China~
An offer from my brother's friend which I grabbed at once. I always pray to my grandfather, burn 2 joss sticks everyday and tell him: "Yi qie shun shun li li" (Everything will go smoothly... meaning I'm praying my boss won't fire up). When my grandpa passed away, I knew he was looking after me. During the last day of his funeral, A job offer landed from one of my friends. After his 100 days, another job offer came. So on and so forth, I didn't accept those jobs because for some reasons I became attached with my employer. Until one day I couldn't take the abuse anymore so I asked for another job and told my grandpa that the next job that would be offered to me, I will grab it without hestiation. Then came this great offer!

I was stuck in the Philippines for 7 years doing "Charity Work" for my employer. Back there I was overworked and underpaid. A brand new start here in China let me realize one thing... I did not deserve what I worked for for the past 7 years. In here, I realized how an employer values his employee when they know your capabilities. I'm happy here. I got my own place, get to choose my own appliances all in expense of my this company. I may be lonely but the internet can reach home in a matter of minutes.

These past few weeks, my aunts came with me (thank goodness) to help me settle. They picked the furniture and the appliances. Today, they officially went back to Manila and I'm officially on my own. ^___^

Friday. 4/25/08 A day on my own

My two aunts went back to Manila this morning. Since their flight from Xiamen to Manila is still 7:55, they might arrive MNL at around 10:00p.m.

Officially I'm alone. First thing I did today is to clean up my place. ^^ Listless as always, I left my mobile phone at the Hotel. I cleaned for the first half of the day then went back to the hotel to get my phone. I missed a phone call from Sec. Yang, while my boss is away, he left me with Sec. Yang to help me lower the prices of the appliances I bought. You know who Sec. Yang is? A government official. Yes. hahaha... After that it took us almost 2 hours to finish these things and at around 4:30, I'm back at my hotel chatting with shobe. I miss her. :( Had lunch with a cup of Spicy instant noodle and an Energy bar courtesy of Michelle (This is Jerry Yan's favorite energy bar).

While eating my Pao Mian (Instant Noodles), guess who's on TV?!?!?!?!

I chatted until 6:00pm and then went downstairs to buy some bread for my dinner. People here eat at around 6:00-7:00. Then, I bought a few bottles of water. The bread is somewhat like Bread Talk in Manila. Anyway, the most important thing I did before I regret it is that I bought a De Er Hui sneakers!!!!! Ironically, the first time I visited the shop I wasn't planning on buying anything but hoping I could take pics of Jay. Then, a day after that, my Chuck Taylor ripped at the middle which gave me an excuse to buy a new pair of sneakers! Ni men kan!!!

BEFORE: 149RMB NOW: 98RMB

Anyway, the loaves of bread were just duo yu, my boss called me up and we had a MA LA (Spicy) Dinner at 重慶四川飯店!

9:40, sleepy... but it's still too early to hit the sacks. hohummm....

P.S. I befriended a girl working in the Home Appliances store, I asked her where can I watch a movie, she said there are no movie houses here in Xian Tao, they rent DVDs.

WALANG ANTI-PIRACY LAW DITO? waaa~
