KPOP and Jay Chou's Statement

I just wanted to clear out and put my foot down as I read these shortcut news article bashing Jay Chou on his statement.  He never said anything wrong, it's his opinion, deal with it!

Comment to one of the blogs I saw:
http://blog.dramafever.com/2012/12/jay-chou-gets-heat-for-jealous-comment-on-psy/#comment-148268

News is not complete, statement is also not complete. Why I always think that mnet is hyping this up 'coz they know Psy will just disappear along with his Gangnam Style while Jay Chou will still stand firm on his ground as he speaks his inner thoughts and sentiments.
FYI, Jay Chou doesn't need PSY to hype up things like album releases and stuff, he doesn't need to stick his name to PSY coz it'll just be a shame.  PSY's Gangnam will just be another one-hit wonder and I wonder when it will last, but won't wonder why Jay's music will last for a lifetime.  Let PSY savor the fame as his Gangnam is still clicking through the holiday season and a bonus to the fame he's having, he had his nursery song stuck to Jay Chou's name.
As Chinese paparazzi are dumber than you think, they'd rather Ha Han (Embrace KPOP) than to love their own, coz they can't get a piece of Mr. JAY CHOU.

To answer that decade ago "Koyote" thing in Korea, well, Jay said that the dance has been existing the past hundred years, deal with it!

FYI to those who just read the translated news article from reporters, scanned newspapers and a bunch of entertainment and stupid sina links and stuff, here's the whole statement.

Translation and full clip (2 clips) of Jay's statement which never mentioned BOYCOTT.  After he cleared his statement, another statement was hyped up regarding the Horseback Riding Dance.  I hope the Chinese paparazzi knew what they're doing.  They could've smacked their heads right into the pavement as they interviewed Jay. Ugh.

Jaychou responds to paparazzi with regards to the boycott of KPOP.
Jay: I didn't say boycott it, I was just saying that Mandopop should catch up with KPOP and Mandopop is still very diao, you can check out my speech back then, there should be a clip available... (Clip: http://t.cn/zjVDwvD)
(Indistinct question of reporter re: Gangnam Style)
Jay: Of course, this is really funny 'coz I was the one who did the [a similar] dance first and my PA was even dancing with me, then I started wondering why in every awarding ceremony, the opening song is "Gangnam Style". So I was telling myself what happened to the Chinese songs, I had a very weird feeling inside me. That's why I went up the stage and said those things, Mandopop should really pick up the pace.
(Indistinct question of reporter re: Horseback Riding Dance)
Jay: Horseback Riding Dance? Well, when I sang "Cowboy on the Run" I already had a similar dance to that and the Cowboy on the Run style has been existing for the past hundred years and you [reporter] don't need to reply to that, next please...

Here's my opinion:
Jay Chou has been doing big in Asia, even KPOP bands adore him.  Let me tell you why he's being treated like that by the Chinese speaking paparazzi... It's because they can't get enough of him and knew his value even if they caught just a toenail of him on frontpage.  He has not been in good terms with any paparazzi due to abusive stalking and now they're getting back at him by putting words into his mouth.  It is Jay's right to promote his songs, it is Jay's right to be pro-Mandopop, it is Jay's right to encourage people if he wants to.  What is wrong with that and why does everything needed to be negative? Jay is putting up his face to make the Chinese be more proud of their culture, their language and their songs.  Instead, they make up these stories and these stories get translated to English and now, Korean channels can't stop reposting these news articles gaining more attention from non-Chinese speaking individuals.  That includes the great USA and of course Philippines. ugh. Frustrated.

Last stop: Jay Chou The Era Concert- Kaohsiung, Taiwan 12/18/2011

So where do I start?

Thank you.
I want to dedicate this paragraph to the one who helped me get our seats.  May she always be loved and surrounded by pretty things.  May she always be blessed, a kind soul she has.  May she will be forever be there, and happily serve them as they advance further, wherever the sailor may take them.

Taipei-Kaohsiung-Taipei
"一步兩步三步4步往著天手牽手, 一顆兩顆三顆肆顆望著天看星星..."
Arrived in Taiwan again for the second time this year.  The airport changed but the feeling was again- surreal.  Thinking in about 2 days, I'll be watching a very grand concert that I've been anticipating for months. Stayed in Taipei for a day to bring my companions to Deja Vu Restaurant.

Next stop is Nova Mall for the N43SL Laptop

Strolled Ximending for the rest of the night, feeling the cool, soft wind as we went back to the hotel a few hours later.

"像往南ㄟ燕子斷翅 不曾擱返來巢看厝邊 為啥咪鐵支路直直 火車叨位去?"

Rode 2 hours in the HSR (Taiwan High Speed Rail) to Zuo Ying (Kaohsiung stop).

Went to Kaohsiung Arena but wasn't able to buy some of the Merchandise (The Hello Kitty Jay Shirt...)! tsk tsk...

"就算是世界要崩潰, 親愛的我也絕不會落淚, 不放棄愛過的那種感覺, 珍惜著有你記憶的一切..."

At the front row, my first, hopefully not the last...
This became the last song of the night, until we meet again... Jielun!!!

阿密特

My itchy feet buddies had this crazy idea to sell our ticket to Mr. Cheung's May 25 concert and watch A-mei.  With that I started listening to her songs. I got hooked and I think Imma fall to this fandom as well. She's just got this A-meizing voicebox that she could pull off a Wong Faye song. Nobody gets away with a Wong Faye song except Wong Faye and Na Ying, and well, some other impersonator but nothing as perfect as A-mei's. Her 將愛 rendition was just so great and perfect!

Some of her songs on repeat are: 分生, 好膽你就來,維多利亞的祕密,他們,一人個對嘴,掉了。

Well, we'll see how this fandom goes. :)

Oh and by the way, we've scraped off the Amei thing on the 25th. *lol* I was just called to listen. xD

The Last Day--not.

Excited am I for the upcoming trip of the 3 pairs of itchy feet, 2 days ago, I doubt it's going to be a blast as I would've thought.

Pardon me, for I have to post this before my unexpected trip to Taipei & Kaohsiung last December 2011 for the last leg of The Era Concert Tour.  I'll get into that in a day or two. Whenever I'm ready to spill the beans.

An announcement that shook the world of 2 out of 3 pairs of itchy feet last April 17, 2012 made me want to start writing my rants on my blog.  As we all know, concert last days are the most wanted and in-demand day of all concerts, more important than the first day. Suddenly announcing there will be another day of the concert is just so uncalled for that one of us had to do something.

One of my companions called the Fanclub and asked for details of our unclaimed tickets.  We're thinking of moving mountains (meaning our flight and selling our tickets) so we can catch the last day.  Extending is not an option because hello?! reality-wise, we have work. We're not insane.  So upon calling, the fanclub staff, like an answering machine told my companion that they do not encourage fans selling tickets online and that we're just lucky they had helped us buy those tickets for our convenience.  That convenience word kept ringing in my ears, because it kept my stomach churning and making mouthing words of "my ass..."

Let's talk convenience.  Last April 2011, we "conveniently" ordered around 20 tickets at least in this Fan Club and to our surprise, they gave us 4 nights with the same seats and position.  What is worse, they gave us very far seats that we could've just bought online for nearer ones.  If only we knew. If.

This year, we ordered just 6 out of 15 tickets and now that we're asking for the seat no. of those 6 tickets, they won't give it to us.  I don't understand why.  They kept repeating that they're not responsible in giving the seat numbers to us without us getting them by ourselves.  WTF, convenience my ass.

Now, we're left with a very long vacation in HK, watching 5 days of the same concert and defeating our purpose of watching the LAST NIGHT.

Last night, my ass.
