F4 Reunites Fans were teary-eyed
Yesterday early morning, Jiangsu TV recorded the “climax” of Spring Festival in Beijing – The once a smash hit F4 reunited after 4 years, the atmosphere was climactic. Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou, VanNess Wu, Ken Chu, four people dressed in red and black clothes, still projecting an idol-image in their stunning suits, graced the night’s recorded performance with enthusiasm and a touched emotion watching the fans with tears in their eyes. They’re planning to reunite F4 in a concert hoping sometime this year.

Four years in the making
Jerry is pouring out of emotions

F4 is the Chinese entertainment’s hottest and phenomenal group after the "Little Tigers". More than a decade ago, they starred in the craze "Meteor Garden", "Bao Long" and "Lei (meaning tired/ also intended to sound like (huaze LEI)" and the rest were a hit and to young people born in the 80s, this series became a part of their youthful memories. However, the four of them needed to develop their own individual career, they never got together as F4 for years until 2008. This time, being able to pitch the four of them in a span of 4 years, Jiangsu TV is generous enough to bring them to perform during the Spring Festival.
To celebrate this special moment, the fans started to crazily reminisce, from picking up the guys up from the airport then stalked their way to their hotel. The fans willingly gave in to everything just to be able to join the upcoming F4 program. The night before recording, to keep the fans alive and excited, they played all songs featured in Meteor Garden. Finally, closing around 1-ish (in the morning) four dashing guys came out, the crowd went into boisterous screams and cries. Many girls are in tears listening to Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou, Vanness Wu, Ken Chu singing "Liu Xing Yu" together. F4 on stage looks very at ease and compellingly handsome. Vic Zhou, Vanness Wu, Ken Chu looked very lively, only somewhat "introverted" Jerry, who did not live up to its name “Bao Long” (T-rex), had mixed emotions and welled up as they all performed.

Revelations!
Ken wanted to be behind the camera
After singing, the four members had to divulge something “private” in response to the hosts Li Xiang and A-Ya’s questions. Ken broke the hottest information of them all, he said that being separated for so many years, his brothers were "mentally childish (at heart), living an abnormal life", especially Jerry, he’s just "too boring", but has now improved from being “too childish” to “a little bit in between (man and childish)” while Zai Zai on the other hand is appointed the no. 1 MIA among the four of them. But according to Jerry, the most enviable and manly among the four of them is Zaizai, quoting him: “Unlike me, until now I’m still…” In his opinion, he’s the eldest of the four of them, but he’s the most naive one. He even praised Ken Chu who carries a mature personality and always takes care of every person, “Every time we have a performance, he always made sure he prepares everything, even ready out under wears and socks for us.” Afterwards, Jerry gave Ken a “sorry for everything” hug, more of an apology for his past childish behavior.
As the host dug deeper into their private lives, Ken again revealed that he thought Zaizai needed a girl who is a mother figure and at the same time a sister to him, this is because his life is very emotional, he keeps everything to himself and takes a long time to break his silence to everyone. With regards to Jerry, he needs a girl who is really strong and firm. Zaizai made fun of Jerry saying: “If you guys are still going on with this topic, someone’s eyes are getting red already.” With regards to future plans, Ken Chu had the most unexpected answer, because he was aspiring to become a director. During the recording of the show, the four guys were very relaxed, kept fooling around and teasing each other to get married and have babies soon. Many of the fans amongst the audience can’t help but cry, every time the four of them gave their speeches, you can hear distinctive shouts “concert!!!” “concert”!!! F4 divulged that they are hoping they can see that day come. When they were asked about getting together for a concert, they hope it’ll happen, “We hope we can do it as soon as possible!”

F4: Reunited

How many times do they need to ask F4 to reunite in order for them to really get back together?
Well, after 1.5 years of negotiation, we'll see them together, reunited in one stage. ♥

There was a time I obsessed myself of these 4 guys.

That I made him my no. 1

That I had the best F4 gal pals there ever was and will ever be ♥

That I impossibly chased stars over rainbows, just because.

 See you Feb 10. ~yanaliao

KPOP and Jay Chou's Statement

I just wanted to clear out and put my foot down as I read these shortcut news article bashing Jay Chou on his statement.  He never said anything wrong, it's his opinion, deal with it!

Comment to one of the blogs I saw:
http://blog.dramafever.com/2012/12/jay-chou-gets-heat-for-jealous-comment-on-psy/#comment-148268

News is not complete, statement is also not complete. Why I always think that mnet is hyping this up 'coz they know Psy will just disappear along with his Gangnam Style while Jay Chou will still stand firm on his ground as he speaks his inner thoughts and sentiments.
FYI, Jay Chou doesn't need PSY to hype up things like album releases and stuff, he doesn't need to stick his name to PSY coz it'll just be a shame.  PSY's Gangnam will just be another one-hit wonder and I wonder when it will last, but won't wonder why Jay's music will last for a lifetime.  Let PSY savor the fame as his Gangnam is still clicking through the holiday season and a bonus to the fame he's having, he had his nursery song stuck to Jay Chou's name.
As Chinese paparazzi are dumber than you think, they'd rather Ha Han (Embrace KPOP) than to love their own, coz they can't get a piece of Mr. JAY CHOU.

To answer that decade ago "Koyote" thing in Korea, well, Jay said that the dance has been existing the past hundred years, deal with it!

FYI to those who just read the translated news article from reporters, scanned newspapers and a bunch of entertainment and stupid sina links and stuff, here's the whole statement.

Translation and full clip (2 clips) of Jay's statement which never mentioned BOYCOTT.  After he cleared his statement, another statement was hyped up regarding the Horseback Riding Dance.  I hope the Chinese paparazzi knew what they're doing.  They could've smacked their heads right into the pavement as they interviewed Jay. Ugh.

Jaychou responds to paparazzi with regards to the boycott of KPOP.
Jay: I didn't say boycott it, I was just saying that Mandopop should catch up with KPOP and Mandopop is still very diao, you can check out my speech back then, there should be a clip available... (Clip: http://t.cn/zjVDwvD)
(Indistinct question of reporter re: Gangnam Style)
Jay: Of course, this is really funny 'coz I was the one who did the [a similar] dance first and my PA was even dancing with me, then I started wondering why in every awarding ceremony, the opening song is "Gangnam Style". So I was telling myself what happened to the Chinese songs, I had a very weird feeling inside me. That's why I went up the stage and said those things, Mandopop should really pick up the pace.
(Indistinct question of reporter re: Horseback Riding Dance)
Jay: Horseback Riding Dance? Well, when I sang "Cowboy on the Run" I already had a similar dance to that and the Cowboy on the Run style has been existing for the past hundred years and you [reporter] don't need to reply to that, next please...

Here's my opinion:
Jay Chou has been doing big in Asia, even KPOP bands adore him.  Let me tell you why he's being treated like that by the Chinese speaking paparazzi... It's because they can't get enough of him and knew his value even if they caught just a toenail of him on frontpage.  He has not been in good terms with any paparazzi due to abusive stalking and now they're getting back at him by putting words into his mouth.  It is Jay's right to promote his songs, it is Jay's right to be pro-Mandopop, it is Jay's right to encourage people if he wants to.  What is wrong with that and why does everything needed to be negative? Jay is putting up his face to make the Chinese be more proud of their culture, their language and their songs.  Instead, they make up these stories and these stories get translated to English and now, Korean channels can't stop reposting these news articles gaining more attention from non-Chinese speaking individuals.  That includes the great USA and of course Philippines. ugh. Frustrated.

Last stop: Jay Chou The Era Concert- Kaohsiung, Taiwan 12/18/2011

So where do I start?

Thank you.
I want to dedicate this paragraph to the one who helped me get our seats.  May she always be loved and surrounded by pretty things.  May she always be blessed, a kind soul she has.  May she will be forever be there, and happily serve them as they advance further, wherever the sailor may take them.

Taipei-Kaohsiung-Taipei
"一步兩步三步4步往著天手牽手, 一顆兩顆三顆肆顆望著天看星星..."
Arrived in Taiwan again for the second time this year.  The airport changed but the feeling was again- surreal.  Thinking in about 2 days, I'll be watching a very grand concert that I've been anticipating for months. Stayed in Taipei for a day to bring my companions to Deja Vu Restaurant.

Next stop is Nova Mall for the N43SL Laptop

Strolled Ximending for the rest of the night, feeling the cool, soft wind as we went back to the hotel a few hours later.

"像往南ㄟ燕子斷翅 不曾擱返來巢看厝邊 為啥咪鐵支路直直 火車叨位去?"

Rode 2 hours in the HSR (Taiwan High Speed Rail) to Zuo Ying (Kaohsiung stop).

Went to Kaohsiung Arena but wasn't able to buy some of the Merchandise (The Hello Kitty Jay Shirt...)! tsk tsk...

"就算是世界要崩潰, 親愛的我也絕不會落淚, 不放棄愛過的那種感覺, 珍惜著有你記憶的一切..."

At the front row, my first, hopefully not the last...
This became the last song of the night, until we meet again... Jielun!!!

阿密特

My itchy feet buddies had this crazy idea to sell our ticket to Mr. Cheung's May 25 concert and watch A-mei.  With that I started listening to her songs. I got hooked and I think Imma fall to this fandom as well. She's just got this A-meizing voicebox that she could pull off a Wong Faye song. Nobody gets away with a Wong Faye song except Wong Faye and Na Ying, and well, some other impersonator but nothing as perfect as A-mei's. Her 將愛 rendition was just so great and perfect!

Some of her songs on repeat are: 分生, 好膽你就來,維多利亞的祕密,他們,一人個對嘴,掉了。

Well, we'll see how this fandom goes. :)

Oh and by the way, we've scraped off the Amei thing on the 25th. *lol* I was just called to listen. xD

The Last Day--not.

Excited am I for the upcoming trip of the 3 pairs of itchy feet, 2 days ago, I doubt it's going to be a blast as I would've thought.

Pardon me, for I have to post this before my unexpected trip to Taipei & Kaohsiung last December 2011 for the last leg of The Era Concert Tour.  I'll get into that in a day or two. Whenever I'm ready to spill the beans.

An announcement that shook the world of 2 out of 3 pairs of itchy feet last April 17, 2012 made me want to start writing my rants on my blog.  As we all know, concert last days are the most wanted and in-demand day of all concerts, more important than the first day. Suddenly announcing there will be another day of the concert is just so uncalled for that one of us had to do something.

One of my companions called the Fanclub and asked for details of our unclaimed tickets.  We're thinking of moving mountains (meaning our flight and selling our tickets) so we can catch the last day.  Extending is not an option because hello?! reality-wise, we have work. We're not insane.  So upon calling, the fanclub staff, like an answering machine told my companion that they do not encourage fans selling tickets online and that we're just lucky they had helped us buy those tickets for our convenience.  That convenience word kept ringing in my ears, because it kept my stomach churning and making mouthing words of "my ass..."

Let's talk convenience.  Last April 2011, we "conveniently" ordered around 20 tickets at least in this Fan Club and to our surprise, they gave us 4 nights with the same seats and position.  What is worse, they gave us very far seats that we could've just bought online for nearer ones.  If only we knew. If.

This year, we ordered just 6 out of 15 tickets and now that we're asking for the seat no. of those 6 tickets, they won't give it to us.  I don't understand why.  They kept repeating that they're not responsible in giving the seat numbers to us without us getting them by ourselves.  WTF, convenience my ass.

Now, we're left with a very long vacation in HK, watching 5 days of the same concert and defeating our purpose of watching the LAST NIGHT.

Last night, my ass.

Jacky Cheung 1/2 Century Tour - Taipei stop

Leaving for Taiwan with sore eyes was just so inconvenient.  I had to pretend I'm busy whilst passing immigration. Yes, I had to do all the faking until I reach pass the Taiwan immigration.  We arrived at our hotel half past 2:00 a.m. Had the privilege to pass by 7-11 and hoard some bento there 'coz we were starving after the long flight. Well... yeah it's long... 2 hours. xD

3 Itchy Feet embark on a journey to Taiwan, our first ever together, my 3rd and their 1st after 15 years. Yes, it was that long time ago.  When things were given to us for free... even pocket money. *lol*

On our first day, our first stop was here:

Had to come over for some fangirl sight-seeing.  This is an Art Center, the place is filled with ruins and very cozy place to stroll.  Here, we can see Deja Vu Restaurant ( THe resto that Liu Qian, Will Liu and Jay Chou owned) and A place for Tea (一間茶屋), Fang Wen Shan's own Teahouse.

We stopped by at A place for Tea first then we had a reservation for Deja Vu at around 12 noon.  Unfortunately, since we're here to see Mr. Cheung, we had to meet a friend/fan around 1:30 and so we decided to postpone the Deja Vu reservation to 5:00pm.  Mr. Cheung stays at a Hotel where we stayed in as well, knowing he's about to go to the Taipei Arena, we had to go back to the Hotel and wait for him in the Lobby.  The Philippine delegates must report to their "老大" (Boss). haha!  Since the inconvenience in Taiwan is that there's no Yellow Gate where you can report to duty daily, we had to wait at the Hotel lobby for him to see us and say: "Present" through eye contact. *lol*

We waited at the hotel lobby for an hour or so, since we had to meet a friend/fan at Taipei Arena, we had to leave at once and so we were not able to see Mr. Cheung at the lobby.

To cut the story short, our route for that day was:
East Dragon Hotel -> Hua Shan Creative Park -> Mr. Cheung's Hotel -> Taipei Arena -> Taipei Main Station (Nova Mall) -> Hua Shan Creative Park (Deja Vu) -> East Dragon Hotel (Pick up luggage) -> Mr. Cheung's Hotel (Check in) -> Taipei Arena (Watch Concert) -> Back to hotel

After meeting our friend, we went to Nova Mall and bought this:

Then we had to rush to Deja Vu Restaurant and have early dinner at 4:30pm! Food was great but expensive.  I missed their Anchovy pasta, it was sensational!

After checking in and freshening up a bit, we rushed to Taipei Arena and proceed to Row 11. Our first night, good seats, good companion, good show!

It was a great show. With the rock song on top of my head, we really had a blast!

After the show we had to rush back to the hotel and wait for Mr. Cheung at the lobby.  It was a mob in the making! Some tourists from China coincidentally just arrived (2 tour buses) and they knew of Mr. Cheung's arrival.  In the end? The fans were not able to take a good look at him 'coz China people hoarded him and were mobbing him like crazy.  Purpose? Just to have a click on their cellphone and brag their close encounter with the God of songs in Taiwan.  They were always the reason why we can't see Mr. Cheung in a decent, proper and reserved manner.  We were so frustrated that night.  Luckily, one of my cousins was able to make eye contact with him as he nodded in assurance that he saw her.  He shifted a bit and by the looks of it as my cousin narrated, he's looking for other familiar faces.

Anyhow, as the crowd got thinner, we went outside ready to grab some dinner at 12:00am. While outside, we met this bellboy who was a Filipino. Kabayan! He lives in Tondo but has already been in Taiwan for 2 years.  We kept chatting for an hour or so until we finally decided to go to a convenient store to hoard food again for supper. :)

The next day, we had to go to the boring Taipei 101 and ate at their Food Court.  Wasn't a big fan of Taipei 101, I swore I won't go there again and I won't spend another NT to get to the top floor. Puh-lease...

Our 2nd night, and of course our last night in Taipei and the last night of the 1/2 Century Concert as well.  We had to leave early and not finish the concert 'coz we had to travel to Taoyuan Airport for an hour or so. We were right at the side in front of the bridge of the stage.  It was a listening kind of place, can't see any of the people on stage but what the heck, I've watched for like 6 times and it won't hurt just to listen to the songs.  Besides, my eyes were hurting so much I had to force it open all the while since morning.  I was really pathetic.

While singing the Encore songs, Jacky Cheung sang 情書 right at that bridge, we were of course, star strucked.  We sing without knowing the words, it was so surreal. He was totally in front of us! This was a dream come true.  Though we had close encounters with him before, this was by far a first time.  We wanted to sing with him, thus during the concert, we were hoping to get front seats so we could sing as he sings and he could see us sing!  The feeling would be different, it would have been so COOL.

So, when he sang 二分之一的幸福 we were already climbing the stairs, exiting with heavy hearts as we leave our good seats.  While taking a break in the loo, I was able to listen through halfway of the song, it was my first time to hear that song since I never listened to all his albums.  It stayed with me for hours. :(

Before we left, we had the chance to pass by the section where flowers were given by artists who admire Mr. Cheung, one of the admirers of course, was our very own Jay Chou.  Can't help but take pictures with the flower! xD

An hour drive to Taoyuan Airport, we discussed things we surely have missed when we left the Arena.  We thought we were a bit hasty in giving ourselves an ultimatum to leave that early.  Arriving the airport, we noticed the empty lobby with only us checking in, we thought we really blew it.  We could've stayed for a few more minutes :(  As we pass by immigration, baggage check-up, we came across another surprise... Mr. Fang Wen Shan's poem on our way to the boarding gate!

The boarding gate is filled with people, waiting for flight 5J310 to take them back home to Manila.  As we found our place and settled on emptier seats, we felt the drowsiness and exhaustion downing upon us as we rest for a while.  Not long, everybody were assisted to board and we sat on our respective seats, reminiscing with drowsiness, our 2-day marathon trip to TAIPEI.

We shall return... for more.
